DDC B’la chairs public darbar at Lagama Uri

People project grievances, demands pertaining developmental concerns

BARAMULLA, OCTOBER 08: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today held a public outreach camp at Lagama Uri area which marked the participation of various delegations, deputations and other stakeholders form Lagama and its adjoining areas.

This was the part of the public outreach programme initiated by the district administration Baramulla to get the first hand appraisal of public grievances.

SSP Baramulla, SDM Uri, SE R&B and officer from various departments, Sarpanchs, Panchs were also present on the occasion.

On the occasion, various issues and demands were highlighted during which the people sought personal intervention of the DDC for the timely disposal.

A delegation demanded the establishment of PHC and said that the area is lacking any such health institution. They also demanded for macadamization of link roads, upgradation of HT lines and PHE water pipes and other basic rural infrastructure.

Another deputation demanded the removal of encroachments from the state and kahcharai lands. They also demanded cooperation from Horticulture and allied departments in providing expertise and suggestions so that better yields of production is ensured.

DDC listened to the public grievances and demands patiently and assured that all the genuine issues shall be fulfilled in a time bound manner.

On the occasion, DDC directed the officers to provide every basic facility to the people. DDC said that government has lunched various schemes and programmes for the people and urged upon them to come forward and avail the benefits.
