SHA J&K holds workshop with private hospitals on JKHIS
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 14: The State Health Agency (SHA) J&K held a workshop with the registered private hospitals of Jammu and Kashmir through virtual mode for the empanelment under recently approved Jammu Kashmir Health Insurance Scheme (JKHIS).
The scheme in convergence with Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) will provide Health Insurance Cover of Rs. 5 lakh/family/year to all the residents of UT of Jammu and Kashmir including serving and retired employees.
Detailed deliberations about the empanelment of private health care providers were held by CEO SHA, Bhupinder Kumar, he urged upon the participant hospital administrators to come forward and join this scheme.
He assured the participants that SHA, J&K shall provide all possible assistance/facilitation during and after the empanelment.
More than 30 non-empaneled private health-care providers participated in the workshop.
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir announced the Health Insurance Scheme shall cover around 15lakh households that are not covered under AB-PMJAY and the same benefits as existing under AB-PMJAY shall be extended to the rest of the residents.
