Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir visits Gurez

BANDIPORA, SEPTEMBER 15: Director Animal Husbandry Department Kashmir, Purnima Mittal made an extensive visit to Gurez Tehsil of Bandipora district to review the progress of various schemes, developmental projects and other routine activities of the department.

The Director chaired a review meeting that was attended by CAHO Bandipora alongwith other officials of the district to take stock of pace and progress of various ongoing works.

She also visited several far flung villages of the Tehsil including Kanzalman, Dawar, Shiekpora-Tulail where she took note of the developmental activities and held interactions with locals including the youth to address their grievances.

Mittal encouraged the youth to take advantage of the various schemes like Integrated Dairy Development Scheme, Fodder Development Scheme and Poultry Policy 2020.

The Director emphasised upon the need of setting up dairy and poultry enterprises locally with the help of the department to meet the milk, meat and egg requirements of the region and to create avenues of employment.

She also held interaction with local administration and urged them to speed up the progress of various projects of the department.

The Director during the visit was flanked by various officials of the department.
