Anti encroachment drive: 157 Kanal prime land retrieved at Samba

SAMBA NOVEMBER 20: District Administration Samba today conducted an elaborated anti- encroachment drive at village Palth and retrieved 157.15 Kanal prime land from the encroachers.

The anti encroachment drive team, under direct supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria, pressed in JCB machines and dismantled several concrete structures including sheds, pavements, boundary walls, RCC structures and temporary sheds as well. Attempts of changing the nature of land were also foiled by administration.

Giving details, the concerned officials informed that of 157 Kanals state land, 50.5 Kanal was transferred under Roshni Act and possessed by some influential persons, while remaining 107.10 Kanal falling under Khasra no. 70 & 94 was other than that of Roshni Act. The illegal encroachers entries have been already canceled.

The team consisted of Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra, Tehsildar Samba Rampal, ASI Balbir Singh, besides other field staff of revenue and Police were also present.
