Two weeks entrepreneurship program begins at MSME, DI Srinagar

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 23: The two weeks entrepreneurship programme for participants from different educational backgrounds began today at Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Institute, Sanatghar here.

The programme has been organised by MSME, DI under the aegis of Ministry of MSME, Government of India.

Assistant Director, in charge MSME Saheel Alaqband said that the participants from different educational backgrounds and from different districts of valley have opted for the entrepreneurship course.

He said, during the course, participants will be provided with detailed information about the schemes available with the Ministry of MSME, DIC, KVIB and JKEDI besides providing insight about business management.

In order to make the program more practical in nature, involvement of participants in business activities, group presentations and Industrial visits will also be the part of two weeks Entrepreneurship program.

Assistant Director while giving his concluding remarks on the first day of the two weeks course said, the aim is to produce professional entrepreneurs irrespective of the investment involved in setting up the enterprises so that the chances of failures are minimized to a large extent.

Earlier during the inaugural session, Project Director MSME TDC Mir Altaf Ahmad briefly explained the role that the technology development centre at Srinagar is playing in providing skills to the unemployed youth besides providing them the road map for entrepreneurship.

He said, this year approximately 600 participants are being trained or have completed training in different courses across Kashmir region.
