Poonch: DC reviews COVID19 mitigation measures

Asks for universal registration under PM-JAY in 3 days

Measures to check illegal mining also discussed

POONCH, DECEMBER 23: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to review the COVID-19 mitigation measures and implementation of Ayushman Bharat here at a meeting held in hall of DC Office Complex.

Detailed discussion on various points including tracing of international travelers, aggressive testing, provision of covid related medicine and diagnostics , status of oxygen plant and covid care center, preparation of pediatric wards, registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat etc was held in the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to put in place all measures to ensure availability of adequate number of oxygen supplied beds to deal with the third covid-19 wave.

The DC congratulated the stakeholders for the 100% vaccination of second dose as well as of above 18 years.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the CMO to submit the details of registered and left out beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat scheme within 3 days, positively.

He also directed the Medical authorities to improve the registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat within 7 days.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the CMO to submit a detailed and comprehensive master plan to contain/manage possible third wave of covid-19.

He asked the CMO to keep available at least 20 bedded pediatrics wards at block level within 15 days. He further directed the health and medical education authorities to create awareness among the common masses regarding Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) through IEC activities.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the Joint Director School Education to ensure strict covid-19 related Protocols in schools to avoid the spread of infection.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the status of illegal mining in the district. He asked the police authorities to facilitate all possible support needed for activating checking squads and to put in place a robust and formidable mechanism. He asked the concerned officers to take all necessary steps to check illegal mining in the district.
