DM Rajouri discusses issues of public importance with CO Town Regiment

RAJOURI, JANUARY 21: To discuss issues of public importance, District Magistrate Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today convened a meeting with the Commanding Officer Town Regiment Rajouri, Col. Vishek Walia in presence of Lt. Col Bharat Khatri, Town Commander and ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh.

A threadbare discussion was held on several issues concerning the strengthening of civil-military liaisons in the district. Discussion on arrangements to be put in place for the celebration of the Republic Day was also held.

The renovation of the road from Rajouri town to Dhanidhar was also discussed and the DDC directed the concerned authorities to start the renovation at the earliest to facilitate the smooth movement of the army personnel and the general public.

The District Magistrate also highlighted the importance of liaison between the District Administration with the Army. “Army also acts as the rapid response team for disaster management, restoration and rehabilitation and the need of an hour is to further strengthen this liaison for the betterment of the general public” he added.
