Vibrant Youth Outreach programme continues under ‘Vision Pulwama 2047 - Be the Change’ at Rajpora

PULWAMA, MAY 18: Continuing with its Youth outreach programs at Rajpora today, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary urged upon the youth to come forward and act as a potential force in the developmental process of the district.

Speaking at the event, the DC said that the youth in the form of human capital is highly valuable in the transformation of societies. He reiterated his commitment to transform Pulwama into a self-reliant economy besides envisioning its youth as leaders of the future.

Youth from all age groups participated in the event which witnessed unprecedented participation. The aim of the programme was to create a connection between youth and civil administration besides addressing the issues and challenges being faced by youth on a daily basis.

Scores of youths and individuals apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the problems faced by them in day to day life. They also submitted various developmental demands before the DC.

The youth submitted a memorandum and charter of demands projecting various issues including Football Playfield, macadamization of link and interior roads, providing better supplies of drinking water and electricity facilities, upgrading the education system and healthcare facilities at CHC Rajpora ATM at CHC Rajpora, Oxygen Plant, providing of Laparoscopic machine, street lights, dearth of paramedical staff, Drug rehabilitation centre and pace of developmental tempo in GDC Rajpora besides Hotline for CHC Rajpora was also raised during the event.

While interacting with the youth, the DC said that all the developmental activities are being supervised and monitored to ensure their timely completion. He urged the local youth to come forward and avail benefits from such welfare schemes.

Responding to the issues and demands that the youth of these villages raised, the DC once again reiterated that the district Administration is committed that such initiatives shall prove result oriented and fruitful for the common people.

He said that his top most priority shall be to address as many issues as he can that are within his domain without wasting any time.

Among others the event was attended by Officers from administration and large numbers of youth, senior citizens and other concerned.
