ADC Bhadarwah reviews arrangements for Ramadan, Navratras

BHADERWAH, MARCH 14: ADC Bhadarwah, Chowdhary Dil Mir chaired a meeting to review the arrangements being made for Ramadan and Navratras, here today.

Addressing the meeting, the ADC directed the concerned officers to put in place all arrangements well in time so that people do not face any inconvenience during holy month of Ramadan and upcoming Navratras.

The meeting was attended by ASP Kameshwar Puri, Tehsildar Bhaderwah Shokat Hayat, Tehsildar Bhalla, EO MC Bhadarwah, BMO Bhadarwah, LDO, AEE PHE, AEE PDD, TSOs Bhadarwah and Bhalla and president Anjuman-e-islamia along with other members.

The ADC asked the officers to ensure availability of all requisite and essential commodities to the people hygienically and on prescribed rate during the Holy Month of Ramadan and Navratras.

ADC directed the Assistant Executive Engineers PDD and PHE to ensure that the people get uninterrupted power and water supply especially at the time of Iftar and Sehri as well as in all mosques and at all temples particularly at Mata Chandi Temple, the main venue of Navratra. He also directed them to repair all defunct street lights, damaged poles transformers and water pipes and gravity lines before the holy month of Ramadan and during Navratras.

He further directed the authorities of CA&FCS department to keep available essential commodities for the general public during all the days and asked for effective monitoring of public distribution mechanism in the Sub District and ensured that the quota of ration reaches and distributed to the people well in time.

ADC appealed the people to purchase meat at government approved rates, if any meat-seller demands extra amount then people should inform the civil or police administration for strict action against the erring Meat-seller.

He also directed to CA&FCS officials, Veterinary department and Municipal officers to constitute checking squads to intensify market checking and take strict action against the hoarders and black marketers.

The ADC also directed the Municipal Committee to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around the places of worship and at the places of congregation.

A delegation led by president Sanathan Dharma Sabha called upon ADC regarding Navratras, expected from 22 March and appealed ADC to make arrangement of drinking water at all venues and particularly at Chandi Mata Temple where huge rush of devotees is expected every year with zeal and zest.

The ADC listened to their genuine demands patiently and directed the officers of concerned departments to look into the matter and make efforts at the earliest.

ADC further directed the officers of police department to check the wrong parking of vehicles, especially in the market areas and enroute to Chandi Mata Temple for convenience of devotees of Navratras.
