ARTO Reasi challans 22 vehicles

REASI, NOVEMBER 20: A Team led by ARTO Reasi Tara Mani, today conducted an enforcement drive on the Moori route. During the drive the team checked 52 vehicles.

As many as 22 vehicles were found to be operating in contravention to various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and were issued challans.

An amount of Rs. 45000 cash recovered from compounded challans and Rs. 50,000 is expected out of challans imposed for various violations as per MV Act.

In addition to challaning/ compounding, the drivers were sensitized about the importance of safe driving including wearing the seat belt, fitness of vehicles, hazards of using mobile phone while driving, importance of maintaining speed limits and various other traffic laws.
